Light Every Aisle, Top to Bottom
High racks throw deep shadows and run shift after shift. Our UFO high bays, sealed tri-proof battens and area floods light distribution centres, cold stores and logistics hubs evenly — and keep doing it for years.

Lighting a Warehouse Is About Height and Hours
Two things decide warehouse lighting: how high the fixture mounts, and how many hours it runs. Get the wattage and optic right for the ceiling height and you get even floor lux down every aisle; get the thermal design right and it survives the duty. We supply both — matched to your racking from a DIALux model.
Mounting height sets the wattage and beam angle — a 6 m workshop and a 12 m high-bay store need very different optics.
Even light down the aisle, not just under the fixture, is what keeps picking fast and safe.
Round-the-clock operation rewards efficient, well-cooled fixtures with a long service life.
Match Wattage to Mounting Height
A starting point for high-bay selection. We confirm the exact fixture with a DIALux study of your racking layout.
| Mounting Height | Typical Space | Suggested Fixture | Beam |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 6 m | Workshops, retail stockrooms | Tri-proof or 100–150W high bay | Wide |
| 6 – 9 m | General warehousing & racking | UFO high bay 150–240W | Medium 90° |
| 9 – 12 m | High-rack & distribution | UFO high bay 200–300W | Narrow 60° |
| 12 m + | Automated high-bay stores | High-power 300–500W | Narrow 60° / 90° |
* Guidance only — final wattage depends on target lux, rack layout and ceiling reflectance. Request a free DIALux study for project-accurate selection.
From Loading Bay to Top Rack
High-Bay Distribution Centre
Tall racking blocks light into the aisles, leaving dark pick faces and uneven floor lux that slow operators and worry safety officers.
Lay out narrow-beam UFO high bays on an aisle-aligned grid from a DIALux model, so light reaches the floor between racks instead of just the rack tops.
Chilled & Cold Storage
Condensation, wash-down and low temperatures kill ordinary fixtures and fog up diffusers in refrigerated stores.
Specify IP65 sealed tri-proof battens rated for the temperature, with gaskets that keep moisture out of the optical and driver chambers.

Warehouse Lighting Lighting — Answered
How do I choose high bay wattage for my ceiling height?
As a rule of thumb, higher ceilings need higher wattage and a narrower beam to push light to the floor. Up to ~6 m we suggest tri-proof or 100–150W high bays; 6–9 m suits 150–240W UFO high bays; 9–12 m suits 200–300W; above 12 m, high-power 300–500W. These are starting points — share your rack layout and we confirm with a DIALux study.
Which fixtures suit cold storage and wash-down areas?
IP65 tri-proof battens are the standard choice for cold stores, chillers and wash-down zones. Their sealed body and gasket keep out condensation and cleaning water, where an open high bay would fog or fail. We match the temperature rating to your store.
Can you provide a lighting design before we order?
Yes. Send your floor plan, rack pitch, aisle width and mounting height and our engineers return a DIALux study with IES/LDT photometric files, verifying floor lux and uniformity so your team can sign off before purchase.
What warranty and certification do warehouse fixtures carry?
Standard rated lifespan is 50,000 hours with a 5-year warranty on most ranges. High bay and tri-proof fixtures carry CE and, where applicable, CCC and FCC. Full documentation is available — see our Certifications page.
